Ryan Rickelton delivered a career-best performance, scoring an incredible 259 runs against Pakistan in the second Test at Newlands, Cape Town. This was his maiden double century and the fourth-highest individual score by a South African after 8 years in Test cricket.
Opening the innings, Rickelton showcased resilience and skill, propelling South Africa to a commanding total of 615. His partnership with Kyle Verreynne, who also scored a century, was instrumental in dominating Pakistan, who ended Day 2 at 64/3 in their first innings.
