Sri Lanka A won the toss & elected to bat first. SL loose their early 4 wickets within 15 runs. The partnership of Pawan Rathnayake & Sahan Arachchige brought Sri Lanka to a competitive 133 runs for the lost of 7 wickets. Sahan Arachchige scored unbeaten 64 runs in 47 balls.
In their chasing Afghanistan loose their 1st wicket in the first ball of the innings & then managed to chase the target in 18.1 overs. Sediqullah Atal scored an unbeaten 55 runs in 55 balls. This victory stands out as Afghanistan’s first title in this tournament, underscoring their steady rise in Asian cricket.
